Biography :

Doctor of Technical Sciences, Prof., Advisory Board member Academician. Academician Ponomarev-Stepnoi is a leading world specialist in nuclear power units. Born in 1928. In 1952 graduated MEPhI and joined the Kurchatov Institute, where he passed all positions from an engineer to the first deputy director and vice president (1987). He is Editor-in-Chief of the Atomnaya Energiya journal, member of the Editorial Board of Nuclear Science and Engineering. Dr. Ponomarev-Stepnoi is a winner of numerous awards, include the Lenin and the State Prize. PIR Center Advisory Board member since 2002.
