PIR Center's "CyberPulse" released as an E-Journal

MOSCOW, AUGUST 22, 2014. PIR PRESS – “The updated version of the CyberPulse is a topical and a valuable electronic edition focused equally on the professionals and general audience. Such e-journal appears to be in a high demand for the public authorities that are in charge of the issues related to information security and internet governance. I wish the PIR Center’s team success in further development of this project!” – the Head of the Strategic Solutions Department at the Russian Association of Electronic Communications (RAEC) Irina Levova.

A new issue of the PIR Center e-journal The CyberPulse No. 3 (10) June-August 2014 was published in Russian on July 19, 2014. The CyberPulse is published since 2012 in the framework of the PIR Center’s Program International Information Security and Global Internet Governance. From 2012 to June 2014 the CyberPulse was published bimonthly in the format of an e-newsletter.

The new CyberPulse issue is published in the format of a quarterly e-journal. The redesign reflects a milestone in the PIR Center project’s development and opens new horizons for its authors and readers, as well as for advertisers and sponsors.

Today the CyberPulse is the only Russian periodical publication on the issues of the information security and internet governance. The e-journal provides its readers with the relevant analysis on the topic and exclusive material by leading Russian and international experts, regular reviews of adopted legislative acts and other documents, announcements of key events and conferences in the ICT field in Russia and world over.

Each issue of the CyberPulse provides thematic sections on the following topics: “Cyber-attacks, threats and cybercrime”, “Cybersecurity in Russia and the USA” “China in Cyberspace”, “The Runet Governance and Regulation”, “International Cooperation on Cybersecurity Issues”. The audience of the e-journal is represented by over 500 Russian and international experts, diplomats and other government officials, technical experts in the field if the ICTs. The updated CyberPulse edition meets positive feedbacks from the top specialists of the Russian IT-sector.

Commenting on the new issue of the CyberPulse, the head of the Strategic Solutions Department at the Russian Association of Electronic Communications Irina Levova pointed out: “The updated version of the CyberPulse is a topical and a valuable electronic edition focused equally on the professionals and general audience. Subscription to the CyberPulse is available at the PIR Center website (in Russian). The archive of previous issues of the e-journal is also available online in Russian.  

PIR Center conducts intensive activities in the field of research, publishing and organization of events on the ICT issues in the framework of its Program International Information Security and Global Internet Governance.

On March 17-19, 2014 the PIR Center conducted its training course “Global Internet Governance and Information Security for Young Experts” in Moscow. Also, as a part of the Program, PIR Center has published a special issue of its Security Index journal on “Global Security in the Digital Age” (in Russian). Currently, PIR Center is preparing for publication a non-governmental report – the White Paper on information security and internet governance.
