July 22, 2021

MOSCOW, JULY 22, 2021. PIR PRESS. «My friendship with Director of PIR Centre Dr. Vladimir Orlov is more than a quarter-century old. Since its creation in 1993 PIR Centre has become one of the most prominent Russian think tanks in the field of nonproliferation and arms control. This close association is a product of meetings in Russia and at international venues, in Geneva, Monterey, and several other places. The Trialogue Club International reflects our long-standing and vibrant cooperation because within the framework of the Trialogue Club International, all members have an opportunity to establish contacts, connections, channels of interaction, without which the world will not be able to effectively address modern challenges and threats. At this farewell dinner, I would like to pay tribute to the warm friendship that connected me with PIR Center and the Trialogue Club International», – Venkatesh Varma, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Russian Federation.

Secondly, we have a wonderful panel of speakers who take part both online and offline. Today, thanks to the hospitality of our friends and colleagues from the Embassy of India, we have brought together people from different parts of the world for a meaningful and open conversation. India has always helped and continues to facilitate international dialogue.”
