The first track of the VI International Timerbaev Nuclear Debates

On April 17, 2023, the first track of the VI International Timerbaev Nuclear Debates will be held on the topic “Will AUKUS Weaken the Nuclear Nonproliferation Regime?”.

This year there will be young specialists from Russia, Japan and India mastering educational programs on nuclear nonproliferation, disarmament and global security.

The event is organized jointly by PIR Center, Russia, and James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS), USA.

In order to enhance the educational component of the Debates, members of PIR Center Advisory Board are invited to speak as experts, in particularly, Ambassador Sergio Duarte, President of the Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs, and Tariq Rauf, Former Head of Verification and Security Policy Coordination, Office reporting to Director General, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The event will be held in the format of the Oxford-style debates.
