Mr. Sergey Demin, Regional Director of Rosatom International Network in East Asia, joined PIR Center’s Executive Board.

In 1985-1990, Mr. Sergey Demin studied at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs (now MGIMO University). After graduating from the University, he worked as a Junior Editor at the Main Editorial Office of the International Department of the Novosti Press Agency (APN) and then as a Correspondent for the International Department of the Nezavisimaya Gazeta (Independent Newspaper). He also worked in the oil production industry; he held the positions of Head of Asset Management Department and Vice President of the oil company Evikhon; member of the Board of Directors of Salym Petroleum Development (1998-2000); Deputy General Director of Yugraneft Corporation and Member of the Board of Directors of Sibneft Yugra (2000-2002); General Director of the Moscow Oil Refinery Plant (2002). From 2003 to 2014, he managed development companies, including under the auspices of the Interregional Cooperation Program of the Moscow Government. Since 2015, he has been working in the nuclear industry as Regional Director of Rosatom  East Asia in Beijing (2015-2019); Director of Rosatom Japan Branch (2019-2023).

Evgeny Buzhinskiy, Chairman of PIR Center’s Executive Board; Dr. Elena Chernenko, Special Correspondent of the Kommersant Daily; Dr. Vadim Kozyulin, Head of the Center for Global Studies & International Organizations of the Institute for Contemporary International Studies of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry, PIR Center Consultant; Dr. Vladimir Orlov, PIR Center Founding Director; Ms. Lubov Soldatkina, Head of the Department for Patriotic Work and Interaction with Public Organizations of the State Foundation Defenders of the Fatherland, Head of the ANO Art-Formula, Member of the Committee of the Russian State Council on Culture; Dr. Ekaterina Stepanova, Head of the Group on Peace and Conflict Studies at the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IMEMO RAS); Dr. Dmitry Trenin, Research Professor at the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs at the National Research University – Higher School of Economics (HSE University), Director of Science at the Institute of Military Economics and Strategy at HSE University, Leading Researcher at the Center for International Security at IMEMO RAS, as well as Dr. Alexander Fedorov, Associate Professor at the Department of Information Security of the Faculty of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Control Systems of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and Lieutenant-General (ret.) Vasily Lata, Chief Research Fellow at the Military Academy of the Strategic Missile Forces, who joined to PIR Center’s Executive Board in December 2023.
