Barzegar, Kayhan

PhD in International Relations.

Kayhan Barzegar graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Tehran, Iran. He also has a Master’s degree from Shahid Beheshti University (SBU), Iran. He earned a PhD in International Relations at Islamic Azad University, Tehran, Iran. In 2002–2003, Kayhan Barzegar was a Research Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), UK. In 2007–2011, he was a Research Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University, Cambridge, USA. Kayhan Barzegar is the Director of the Institute for Middle East Strategic Studies, Tehran, Iran. He has participated in numerous international conferences on Iran’s regional policy, the Iran nuclear deal, energy security of the Persian Gulf countries, Iran-US relations. He is the Editor-in-Chief of “Discourse: An Iranian English Quarterly” Journal.

PIR Center Advisory Board Member since 2015.
