Honoring the 200th anniversary of the Russian flag in Hawaii

This year, Russia and the United States commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Russian settlements and founding of the Russian fortresses Fort Alexander, Fort Barclay de Tolly and the only one remaining, Fort Elizabeth, on the island of Kauai. These events are a bright page of the history of positive relations between Russia and the United States.

In this commemoration, on November 11-13 on the island of Kauai will be held the international conference “200th anniversary of the Russian fortress Fort Elizabeth on the island of Kauai”.

PIR Center Founder & Special Advisor Dr. Vladimir A. Orlov takes part in the conferenceand speakes on the topic “US-Russian Relations: Learning from the History, Looking into the Future”.

PIR Center has a project on Russian Hawaii “Hawaiian Don river flows” (in Russian laguage).
