The approbation of the respecting research paper by Mr. Ilya Subbotin, PIR Center intern and student of the MA Program International Security (implemented by MGIMO University jointly with PIR Center), will take place within the framework of the event.
The speaker will address the following issues during the seminar: the peculiarities of nuclear umbrellas in the contemporary period and their prospects in the foreseeable future. The agenda of the seminar will be focus on a few major topics:
– An academic debate on the nature of “nuclear umbrella” definition;
– The history of shaping and evolution of nuclear umbrellas until the early 2020s;
– The complex analysis of both contemporary nuclear umbrellas and the latest trends of their evolution.

The event will take place on April 16 from 17:30 to 20:20 in a hybrid format:
• Offline: MGIMO University, Hall 5. Admission is free for those with a valid MGIMO University pass.
