On April 6, 2026, PIR Center jointly with MGIMO University will host a seminar on “The Legal Framework for International Cooperation in Peaceful Nuclear Energy”

👤 The event will feature a lecture by Dr. Mikhail Lysenko, PhD in Law, Advisor to the Director General of Rosatom State Corporation and PIR Center Advisory Board Member. The lecture will examine Russia’s practice of concluding bilateral intergovernmental agreements on the peaceful use of nuclear energy and will provide a classification of the agreements concluded. In addition, the seminar will present data on the number of such agreements and Russia’s specific partners, and will offer recommendations on improving the practice of drafting intergovernmental agreements.

Format and conditions of participation

The event will take place on 6 April from 19:00 to 20:20 in-person at MGIMO University, Room 2049. Admission is free for those with a MGIMO University pass.
