The 11th Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) took place from April 27 to May 22, 2026, in New York.
A world free of nuclear weapons is regarded by Russia as one of its security priorities. At the same time, disarmament steps are closely linked to military, political, and strategic considerations. The country’s position on the most pressing issues of nuclear nonproliferation was set out in statements made by the Russian delegation during the 11th NPT Review Conference.
The outcomes of the Conference will be discussed at PIR Center seminar “Outcomes of the 11th NPT Review Conference: A Meeting with the Head of the Russian Delegation, Ambassador-at-Large Andrey Belousov”, which will be held on June 4, 2026, at MGIMO University.
