PhD in Historical Sciences. International journalist, TV-presenter. In 1990-2000, he was a Special Correspondent of “Komsomolskaya Pravda” and “Moscow News” newspapers; and Moscow Correspondent for newspapers “Radio El Mundo” and “La Razon” (Argentina) and “El Observador Económico” and “La República” (Uruguay) newspapers. In 1996-2001, he was the head of the London bureau of Russian news media source “Vesti”. In 2001-2003, he was TV-Host of evening newscasts of the “Vesti News” program, then Deputy Director of Russian TV and Radio’s News Program Directorate. In 2001-2007, he moderated the Direct Lines with Vladmir Putin. Nowadays he is a VGTRK correspondent and journalist in Latin America. He is a member of the Academy of Russian Television, Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) and Valdai Discussion Club. He has professional awards, including the TEFI award in the categories “Best News Presenter” and “Best Information and Analytical Program”.
