Born on May 16, 1956.
Ji Zhiye is the permanent member of the China’s Society for Eastern European and Central Asian Studies, advisor on international issues at the Information Center of the Central Television of China. He is the Director of Institute of Russian Studies, China. Main areas of his research activity include Russia and the CIS countries. Ji Zhiye is the author of numerous books and articles, including “General Structure of Global Strategy”, “Assessment of International Strategy and Security Situation”, “Shanghai Organization of Cooperation”, “Russia’s Think-Tanks” and others. Currently, Ji Zhiye is a Research Fellow and the President of the Chinese Academy of Contemporary International Relations, member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the 13th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, member of the Russian-Chinese Committee of Friendship Peace and Development, Chairman of the Think Tank Council of Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation Committee of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Vice Chairman of Eastern European and Central Asia Association, Advisor on foreign affairs of the Press Center of China Central Television.
