Nandan Unnikrishnan is a graduate of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JCU), New Delhi, India. He started his career as a journalist at the Press Trust of India (PTI). In 1985–1987, he worked at the Institute for Defense Studies and Analyses (IDSA), New Delhi, India. In 1995, he was appointed to the position of news coordinator for international affairs of the Business India — TVI TV channel, and became the Head of it in 1998. Since 2004, he has been working at the Observer Research Foundation (ORG), New Delhi, India. Nandan Unnikrishnan participated in many national and international conferences, lectured at academic and specialized institutions in India and abroad.
