«Not a concession, not a curtsey, but a necessity»: Anatoly Antonov’s review of the PIR Center’s collective monograph «Russian-American Nuclear Nonproliferation Dialogue. Lessons Learned and Road Ahead»

March 2, 2023

MOSCOW. MARCH 2. PIR PRESS. «The collective monograph of the PIR Center “Russian-American Nuclear Nonproliferation Dialogue. Lessons Learned and Road Ahead”, which was published by the authoritative publishing house Palgrave Macmillan and is now gaining a readership in the United States and around the world, is an example of a deep, thoughtful study of the evolution of Russian cooperation and the United States in this direction (excerpts from the introductory remarks to the article).

The latest issue of Russia in Global Affairs Journal published a review of the PIR Center collective monograph «Russian-American Nuclear Nonproliferation Dialogue. Lessons Learned and Road Ahead», released in 2022.

The author of the review is Anatoly Antonov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to the United States.

The review, among other things, notes that the issues raised in the monograph remind of the special responsibility that lies with Russia and the United States, as well as the inadmissibility of neglecting it for the sake of momentary political gain.

At the same time, it is rightly emphasized that the dialogue on strategic stability cannot take place in isolation from geopolitical realities and the general background of bilateral relations.

The text of the review can be found at the link.

Also, the key points of the review are available at the PIR Center website.
