This year we plan to pay increased attention to the Gulf region, primarily in the context of the development of new technologies here, opportunities for developing cooperation between the states on both sides of the Gulf and Russia in high-tech areas,” – Dr. Vladimir Orlov, PIR Center Founding Director.
In Abu Dhabi, PIR Center Founding Direcor Dr. Vladimir Orlov held a working meeting with Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO and Founder of the New TRENDS Research & Advisory (UAE).
The Heads of the institutions shared their experience in conducting research and educational work, as well as exchanged views on topical issues of regional and international security. Among other things, the management of TRENDS Research & Advisory was familiarized with the content of PIR Center report “A New Nuclear Nine? Assessing Nuclear Proliferation Threats in the World”, released in 2023.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a cooperation agreement, outlining priority areas for further cooperation.
