PIR Center Held The Charity Auction At The XXII International School On Global Security In Zvenigorod

JUNE 19. ZVENIGOROD. PIR PRESS. “Charity auctions have become a good tradition for PIR Center. It is especially pleasing that books do not gather dust on the shelves somewhere in the archives, but serve a useful cause, contribute to the dissemination of unique knowledge on various aspects of international security. This time, several more publications have found new owners,” – Leonid Tsukanov, PIR Center Web Site Chief Editor, host of the 3rd Charity Auction.

On June 10, 2023, within the framework of the XXII PIR Center International School on Global Security Issues, the III Charity Auction was held, at which unique PIR Center publications of different years, books and magazines autographed by the authors were raffled off. In particular:

  • Security Index No. 4 (2014) autographed by Ivan Safranchuk;
  • Security Index No. 1 (2012) autographed by Dmitry Evstafiev;
  • Nuclear Suppliers Group: Creation History (1974-1978) by R.M. Timerbaev;
  • PIRogue Newsletters (2002-2012);
  • Yaderny Control No. 3 (2005) autographed by Alexander Fedorov;
  • Security Index No. 3 (2011) autographed by Mikhail Lysenko;
  • Export Control in Russia: Politics and Practice (2000) autographed by Dr. Vladimir Orlov;
  • Anniversary Security Index No. 1/100 (2012) autographed by Dr. Vladimir Orlov;

Five of the lots presented at the auction finally found new owners: rare editions went not only to Russian cities, but also abroad – to South Ossetia, Kyrgyzstan and Madagascar.
