In 1981, Oleg B. Ozerov graduated from MGIMO University. After graduation, he held various diplomatic positions in the Central Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR/Russia and abroad. In 1980–1990, he worked in Syria, Tunisia and France. In 2001–2005, he served as Senior Advisor, the Head of Middle East Settlement Unit of the Middle East and North Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. In 2005–2010, he was the Deputy Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. In 2010–2017, Oleg B. Ozerov derved as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Saudi Arabia, and since September 2011 concurrently held the position of Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Since May 18, 2020, Oleg B. Ozerov has been the Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Head of the Secretariat of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum. He is the author of a number of publications and research papers on the Arab-Israeli conflict, Islamism, European integration and globalism. Fluent in Arabic, English and French.
