PhD in Politics. Associate Professor of the Department of International Relations at Higher School of Economics (HSE University). Director and Leading Research Fellow of the Center for Eurasian Studies of the Institute for International Studies at MGIMO University. In 1997-2001, he was a Research Fellow at PIR Center and the Director of the Nuclear Arms Control Program. From 2001 to 2006, he held the position of the Director of the Russian Office of the International Center for Defense Information, which was later renamed the World Security Institute, Washington DC, USA. In 2006-2008, he was an Advisor to the World Security Institute and the international project Global Zero. In 2011-2014, he was the Deputy Head of the Institute of Contemporary International Studies of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Author of more than 50 scientific and methodological papers in Russian and more than 20 scientific papers in foreign languages published in Afghanistan, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, China, Norway, USA, and Sweden. He is a Member of the Council for Foreign and Defense Policy (SVOP) and Valdai Discussion Club. Professor of the Academy of Military Sciences. Member of PIR Center Advisory Board.
