Born on June 18, 1984.
In 2005, Andrey A. Baykov graduated with honors from the School of International Relations of MGIMO University. In 2007, he earned his Master`s degree with honors in International Relations at MGIMO University. In 2009, he got a PhD in Political Sciences at MGIMO University. In 2007–2008, Andrey A. Baykov worked as a political commentator at the International Department of RIA Novosti News Agency. In 2008, he was a Visiting Scholar at George Washington University, USA. Andrey A. Baykov lectured at the Freie Universität Berlin, Germany (2011), and at the Institut d’études politiques de Paris, France (2013). Since 2011 he has been the Director of Academic Educational Forum on International Relations. In 2012–2016, he was the Head of the MGIMO Masters Programmes Department. Since February 2016 he has been working as the Vice-Rector for Masters and International Programmes at MGIMO University. Andrey A. Baykov is a scientific supervisor of the M.A. Programs “Governance and Global Affairs” and “Multilateral Diplomacy”. He is a member of the Bureau of the Coordinating Council for Youth Affairs in the Field of Science and Education of the Council for Science and Education under the President of the Russian Federation. He is the author and co-author of about 100 scientific papers, including one individual and three collective monographs, more than 50 articles in journals from the list of the Higher Attestation Commission, more than 30 publications in journals included in Scopus, Web of Science and RSCI, co-author of more than 10 textbooks and study guides, scientific or executive editor of more than 5 scientific research papers. Andrey A. Baykov is the Laureate of the Awards of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), the Russian Political Science Association (RPSA), as well as the International Studies Association (ISA), USA. He is a Visiting Professor at Henley Business School, UK, and Jilin University, China.
