Born on March 10, 1985.

In 2007, Alexander T. Gabuev earned a Bachelor`s degree, and in 2009 — a Master`s degree at the Institute of Asian and African Studies of Lomonosov Moscow State University in the field of “History of China”. In 2013, he completed his postgraduate studies in Stock Markets and Investments at HSE University. Alexander T. Gabuev was the deputy editor-in-chief of the Kommersant-Vlast journal and a member of the editorial board of Kommersant Publishing House. In 2007, he was a correspondent of Kommersant Daily, covering Russia’s policy in Asia and the CIS countries, as well as the role of large national companies in Russia’s foreign policy. Alexander T. Gabuev was a member of Dmitry Medvedev’s presidential press corps. He was a visiting scholar at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) and taught courses on China’s energy policy and political culture at Lomonosov Moscow State University. He is one of the young leaders of the Munich Security Conference (2011) and a member of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy (SVOP).
