If one were to measure your age not in years, but by the number of students you have mentored, the numbers would be truly impressive. For us, your colleagues, it is especially striking that your intellectual curiosity and your burning desire to stand up for the truth have not dimmed with time – they still remind us of your student years. You are not only an outstanding expert in the field of information and international security, but also a person whose profound analytical insight, scholarly integrity, and pedagogical approach have become a cornerstone for the development of various research and educational programs. Your many years of collaboration with PIR Center, your signature courses at Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and your contributions to monographs and projects have helped nurture an entire generation of specialists – for whom your textbook on the political foundations of information security has become an indispensable desk reference.
