Dear Alexander Valentinovich! Please accept our most sincere congratulations on your birthday. If one were to measure your age not in years, but by the number of students you have mentored, the numbers would be truly impressive. For us, your colleagues, it is especially striking that your intellectual curiosity and your burning desire to stand up for the truth have not dimmed with time – they still remind us of your student years. You are not only an outstanding expert in the field of information and international security, but also a person whose profound analytical insight, scholarly integrity, and pedagogical approach have become a cornerstone for the development of various research and educational programs. Your many years of collaboration with PIR Center, your signature courses at Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and your contributions to monographs and projects have helped nurture an entire generation of specialists – for whom your textbook on the political foundations of information security has become an indispensable desk reference. From the bottom of my heart, I wish you robust health, peace of mind and unwavering vigour – so that you may keep fearlessly pushing the boundaries of security research and practice. May you always be surrounded by loyal colleagues, grateful students, and close ones who share your deep interest in the most complex and pressing issues of our time. Wishing you new ideas, exciting projects, and many more years of fruitful work! Yours, Vadim Kozyulin, together with all PIR veterans and juniors!
