PIR Center Held The First Charity Auction In Support Of The Education And Training Program At The XXI International School On Global Security In Zvenigorod

MOSCOW. July 5, 2022. PIR PRESS. “I managed to “win ” one issue of the scientific notes of the PIR Center “1995 NPT Review Conference” by Dr Vladimir A. Orlov for 1999. For 28 years, PIR Center has created truly unique and high-quality materials on a wide range of issues in the field of global security. Many of them are now in a single copy. I am also glad that the funds will go to support the Education and Training Program of PIR Center, which implements wonderful projects, including The International School on Global Security,” – Daria Selezneva, Junior Research Fellow at the IMEMO of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

On June 25, 2022, at the XXI International School of the PIR Center for Global Security Problems in Zvenigorod, within the framework of the Maslin Fest, the First Charity Auction was held in support of the Education and Training Program of PIR Center, at which unique publications of the PIR Center from different years, books and magazines with autographs of the authors were raffled off. Among them: Security Indices for 2012, 2013, 2014, Scientific Notes authored by leading experts in the field of global security: Roland M. Timerbaev, Dmitry G. Evstafiev, Vadim B. Kozyulin, Dmitri V. Polikanov, Ivan A. Safranchuk.

“It was a new business for us, but the result was worth it! In the future, we hope for the same lively response from the audience,” – said Dr Vladimir A. Orlov, Director of PIR Center. Тhe II Charity Auction is planned to be held within the International Timerbaev Debates in November 2022.

A total of 11 editions were sold. It’s nice that not only PIR Center’s friends and graduates, but also participants of the School were among the buyers at the auction.We are sincerely grateful to everyone who decided to support us and took part in the auction! The collected donations made it possible to recoup all expenses for the PIR Center alumni meeting. The result exceeded expectations.
