Vyacheslav Trubnikov: Memory Gallery

On April 18, 2022, Vyacheslav I. Trubnikov, an exceptional diplomat, General of the Army, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Hero of the Russian Federation, senior researcher at IMEMO RAS, member of the PIR Center Council and honorary member of the Trialogue International Club, passed away. He was 77 years old.

Vyacheslav Ivanovich from 2004-2009 worked as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to India, was an amazing person, a great practitioner, analyst and specialist in South Asia. He was awarded the Gold Star of the Hero of the Russian Federation, the Orders of Merit for the Fatherland, 4th Class, the Red Star (twice), the Order of Belarus Francysk Skaryna, and 26 Soviet, Russian and foreign medals.

PIR Center remembers and honors Vyacheslav Ivanovich, who was a member of the PIR Center Executive Board and remained a member of the Board – the highest body of our organization – until the last day of his life. Vyacheslav Trubnikov also had a number of publications with PIR Center.
